Power supply

Phone 105 to report a power cut in your area or get information about power cuts in your local area.

The 105 service is a free national helpline which is available to people in England, Scotland and Wales. You can call the number from most landlines and mobile phones.

You can also phone 105 if you spot damage to electricity power lines and substations that could put you, or other people, in danger. If there’s a serious immediate risk, you should call the emergency services on 999.

Register vulnerable people for priority help

Energy supply companies host priority services registers which are free to join. By registering a vulnerable people, these companies can look after customers who require extra communication, access or safety needs. 

The priority services registers could help you if you have young children, some kind of disability, a long-term illness, are a bit older or live with someone who is.
