In order to process your application for a Local Elector Card, we (Woking Borough Council) need to collect and store some personal data about you and, if applicable, your counter signatory or supporter. The personal data you are providing here will not be shared with any external organisations, nor will it be used for any purposes besides processing your application for a local elector card.
However, please note that your name and address is publicly accessible on the Electoral Register and this register will be made available to credit reference agencies, libraries and archives, councillors and local political parties, the police and other authorised bodies. It may also be shared with third party suppliers that provide the council's electronic electoral management system and printing services.
We will hold the personal data you are providing here for no longer than five years after you submit the application. You can contact us to ask us to access or to rectify the personal data we have about you or to object to the processing of it.
