Council Tax support

If you currently receive Council Tax support, the Government has announced that it is increasing the financial support available to you via its hardship funding scheme. It has offered an additional £150 hardship relief to working age Council Tax support claimants.

We are now working to deliver this and will contact you directly as soon as we have more information. You do not have to do anything to get this extra help.

This is expected in the next 5 to 10 days at which time we will apply the extra help to those accounts automatically and issue revised bills.

Help if you are struggling to make Council Tax payments

For anyone experiencing difficulty in making payment, we can agree alternative arrangements with you. We will make arrangements with you that take account of your circumstances. This may include rescheduling or delaying payment.

If you wish to discuss your circumstances you should contact the Council Tax team who will be able to advise you on the best course of action.
