Independent living show home

Woking Independence Show Home (WISH) is our independent living show home fitted with the latest disabled adaptations, handyperson aids and telecare technology. It also features equipment available from Sight for Surrey and Surrey County Council’s Adult Social Care service.

By visiting the show home, located at our Brockhill Extra Care facility in Goldsworth Park, residents requiring this support, their family members and carers, can experience what is on offer and ask questions.

The show home has a working stair lift, raised toilet and profile bed. The bathroom is a refitted wet room, and the kitchen has also been fully adapted for wheelchair use.

Smart technology at WISH

WISH is fitted with the latest smart technology allowing both residents and carers to see how they might benefit from things such as voice activated lighting, heating controls, a video doorbell and voice activated electric curtain tracks.

There is also a fully integrated Careline equipment (lifeline, alarms and sensors) display at the WISH, which features door alarms, bed sensors and pill dispensers.
