Surrey Youth Games

Please note that registration for the 2022 Surrey Youth Games has now closed.

This April to June, children and young people aged seven to 16 across Woking will enjoy free sports coaching as part of the Specsavers Surrey Youth Games 2022. This year's games are aimed entirely at beginners and those who usually cannot access sports training

Coaching sessions will take place at schools, clubs and leisure facilities across the borough, organised by Woking Borough Council in partnership with local club and sports centre coaches after the Easter holidays.

Each session will be led by a qualified coach and take place after school or at the weekend. Sessions will be offered for each sport to give children and young people the chance to develop their skills.

The aim of the free coaching is to encourage participation among young people and nurture their interest in sport. It also provides an introduction to sporting disciplines they might not have access to at school, as well as raising awareness of the borough's sports clubs and facilities.

The free coaching sessions are open to children and young people aged seven to 16, who live or go to school in the borough.

  • Inclusive dance (ages 7 to 16)
  • Street basketball (for school years 8 and 9)
  • Swimming - water confidence (for school years 2 to 4, referral only)
  • Tennis (for school year 3)
  • Judo (for ages 8 to 12 years old)
