Living well events

There are lots of fantastic services and groups available for older people in Woking, to help them live will and enjoy life - both now and in the future. Making small changes in our lifestyle habits today allows us to have a positive impact on our future health and wellbeing.

Here is a selection of events taking place throughout the year to help get you started on your living well journey:

Guided walks around Goldsworth Park Lake

Thursdays 30 May and Tuesday 18 June, 2pm to 3.30pm

Local resident Roger Westcott will lead the one-mile walk and provide information about the history of the lake and area, as well as talking about the nature and wildlife around the lake. After the walk, tea and coffee will be provided.

Meet by St Andrews Church, Goldsworth Park Centre. Free parking is available for up to three hours at the Goldsworth Park Centre.

Brockhill BBQ for residents and friends

Thursday 7 June, 12pm to 2pm

Join us for a BBQ, Pimms and an afternoon with local petting farm, Farms2Ewe, which will give everyone a chance to pet a variety  of farmyard animals including ducks, a pony, pigmy goats, rabbits and chickens.

Cost: £3.50 per person

Tea dance

Wednesdays: 26 June, 2 October 2019, 1pm to 4pm

HG Wells Conference and Events Centre

Informal social event, all dance abilities are welcome and you do not need a partner to join.

Silver Sunday

Sunday 6 October 2019, 3pm to 5pm

United Reformed Church, Woking

Afternoon tea with jazz band entertainment. Advanced booking required. Transport available for those with additional mobility needs.
