Operational permits are available to doctors, midwives, health visitors and certain other qualified medical staff in order for them to park in a controlled parking zone during the hours of parking restrictions, so that they can carry out their official duties when visiting patients.
There is no charge for an operational permit. It is valid for 12 months.
