Preparing for emergencies

We are working hard to make sure that Woking is as prepared as it can be. It’s important that you are ready too. You can help by being informed and organised.

Creating a household plan is a great start which aims to help keep you and your family safe during an emergency. It lists simple steps to help you prepare, including an emergency preparation checklist, a suggested emergency plan for your household, a checklist of emergency essentials, and a space for emergency contacts.

Another useful action you can do is to ‘follow’ or ‘like’ key social media accounts and bookmark websites. These include the emergency services which manage emergencies and Surrey’s main news publishers.
