Bring photo ID to vote on Thursday 2 May 2019

All Woking Borough electors will be asked to present photo ID from an approved list before they can vote at the polling station at this year's local elections.

Street cleaning and litter

Our environmental partner Serco is contracted to keep Woking's streets and pavements clean.  Mechanical sweepers are used to collect litter. Once fully cleaned an area should be litter free.

Help us reduce litter

It is an offence to drop litter including chewing gum, cigarette butts and other forms of litter such as food packaging. We can issue Fixed Penalty Notices fines to anyone caught littering. The offence carries an on the spot £100 penalty.

We are responsible for clearing litter and refuse from public places such as streets, parks, playgrounds and pedestrianised areas. If a piece of land is littered, the owner should accept responsibility for clearing of the litter.
