Cooling towers

All premises in the Woking area with cooling towers and evaporative condensers must register with us by law.

We need to identify potential areas that could spread infectious diseases such as legionella. We also need to ensure preventative measures are being taken to eliminate the risk of infection to employees and the public.

We keep a public register of all current and decommissioned cooling towers and evaporative condensers in our area.

How to register a cooling tower

It is important that the public register is kept up to date. If you need to register a cooling tower or an evaporative condenser, or amend existing information, please do this on the GOV.UK website.
