Homeowners who are elderly, disabled or vulnerable can apply for a low cost loan from £1,000 up to £25,000 to fund essential repairs, improvements or adaptations. The loans are provided by the Parity Trust, a not for profit organisation.
We can also help you find a reliable contractor, monitor their work and, once complete, carry out an inspection to make sure that you are satisfied.
In order to qualify for a subsidised loan, the works must be considered essential. For example, a leaking roof or electrical re-wiring to make your home safe.
We will assess the requested works and let you know whether they qualify. A loan may also be available if you require additional funding for a disability adaptation.
