Since we announced our plans for the regeneration of Sheerwater in April 2013, our former partner, New Vision Homes (NVH), conducted a comprehensive community consultation and engagement programme with residents and key stakeholders to support the development of a masterplan.
This consultation, structured around an expansive and intensive suite of consultative and collaborative and engagement approaches, was developed and implemented over a period of 24 months.
This process of engaging supported the development of the Masterplan which included the mix of tenures and unit sizes, as well as the broader social, recreational and environmental plans.
The expansive and extensive process of consultation included a number of public meetings, focus groups, one-to-one meetings with residents and neighbouring communities, design workshops and exhibitions, drop-in events at local community venues, mosques, churches and other places of worship, and a series of community visioning workshops.
