The council is in the final stages of delivering the rebate payments on behalf of the government, which provides eligible Council Tax payers in bands A to D (as of 1 April 2022) with a one-off rebate of £150.
In the summer the council automatically credited eligible Council Tax payers who pay by direct debit and wrote to those who pay by other means with instructions on how to claim their payment.
A large percentage of residents have already claimed their rebate. However, there remains a small amount who have yet to apply and claim their £150 payment.
Residents living in properties within Council Tax bands A to D who have not yet received their payment are being urged to complete the application form posted to them or, contact our Council Tax team as soon as possible.
The council is also encouraging residents with older and/or vulnerable family members and friends in their lives to check if they have received their payments. The Council Tax team are available to assist with applications - for help please phone 01483 743 344.
