Brewery Road car park temporarily closed for upgrade works

Date:

Thursday, 22 September, 2022

The transformation of Woking continues, as works to upgrade Brewery Road Car Park gets underway, revolutionising the parking experience for shoppers, commuters and visitors to Woking.

Drivers will no longer need to collect a ticket upon arrival. Instead, cameras will read each number plate on entry. Once payment has been made, exit barriers will lift automatically to allow vehicles to leave. Drivers simply need to remember their vehicle registration number.

Meanwhile, new payment machines will provide flexibility with ways to pay, making the process easier and more convenient. The technology will also allow customers to use fully contactless payment via the JustPark app.

To facilitate these works, it is necessary to close Brewery Road Car Park from Thursday 22 September 2022. It is anticipated that works will take three weeks to complete.

During the works, drivers are encouraged to use the nearby Victoria Place or Victoria Way car parks, which have ample capacity to meet demand.

We would like to thank drivers and users of the car park for their patience during these works.

Parking just got cheaper at Victoria Place
For a limited period, on Saturdays visitors can park for up to three hours for just £3 in Victoria Place car park. There is also a reduced rate when parking for between four and five hours.
