As part of the ongoing works to transform Woking Town Centre, the final phase of the Lockfield Drive highway improvement works will take place from Saturday 20 to Wednesday 24 March 2021.
During the works, Farrans Construction will remove the existing highway surface before resurfacing it with hot rolled asphalt to increase durability of the carriageway.
The schedule of works will require the closure of Lockfield Drive to through traffic on the following days:
- Saturday 20 March from 8am to 5pm: removal the existing traffic management measures.
- Sunday 21 March from 9am to 6pm: removal of the existing highway. Please be aware that at times this phase of works will be noisy.
- Monday 22, Tuesday 23 and Wednesday 24 March from 6pm to 5am (out of hours works): highway resurfacing works. Please note, noisy excavation works will be limited to between 6pm and 11pm. Vehicle reversing alarms are required during the duration of the shift to comply with Health and Safety requirements and insurance purposes.
We appreciated these necessary works will be both noisy and disruptive. To minimise out of hours works and disruption to local residents and road users. we have carefully considered our construction operations.
