At last week’s Council meeting on 25 July 2019, the Leader of the Council, Cllr David Bittleston, offered the opposition group leaders the opportunity to propose an alternative leader by noon on Monday 29 July 2019.
The Leader of the Council has confirmed to the Chief Executive, Ray Morgan, that no such proposal has been submitted.
Therefore, Woking Borough Council’s Chief Executive confirms that Cllr David Bittleston, Leader of the Conservative Group, continues as Leader of the Council and that the Executive and delegations approved by him remain in place.
