Leading brands to open as part of much anticipated Victoria Place Woking opening

Victoria Place Woking is pleased to announce that major brands Marks & Spencer, Moss Bros and Skechers will be opening at the centre on Wednesday 23 March, whilst food and drink brand Gail’s is also set to open.

Komo and Itsu will be adding to the line-up in spring, and will be joined by The Gym Group in yet another first for Woking.  

M&S will be opening an impressive new 50,000 sq ft store in Henry Plaza. The flagship store will include a market-style foodhall, a 100-seat M&S Café and extensive clothing and home departments featuring the retailer’s full range of sought-after products.  

Moss Bros will be launching its latest store concept at Victoria Place Woking. This store will stock their full collection of versatile clothing, footwear and accessories, including its specialist range of suits and recently established casualwear range. Skechers, the world-famous athletic footwear and apparel brand, will join Moss Bros. The store will offer shoppers an astonishing 700 different styles of footwear and fashion under their ethos of quality, innovation and comfort. 

Much loved artisanal bakery and café, Gail's, will be positioned on Commercial Way providing customers with the highest quality freshly baked breads, pastries and cakes throughout the day, as well as hand-roasted speciality grade house blend coffee. 

Asian high street favourite Itsu will open on Mercia Walk this spring. The popular restaurant will serve their renowned healthy Asian rice and noodle bowls, soups, sushi, salads and snacks, all made fresh in their on-site kitchen.

High-end cocktail bar, Komo, will entertain guests with an extensive cocktail and gin menu. Food will be served from midday six days a week and brunch on Sundays.

Leading national gym chain, The Gym Group, will open a new gym in Bandstand Mall within The Peacocks Centre. The gym will offer affordable, no contract membership with access to high-spec training equipment and a range of unlimited free gym classes.  

Cllr Ayesha Azad, Leader of Woking Borough Council, said: “As we approach the official opening of phase one of Victoria Place, the £700m regeneration scheme of the town centre, Woking is fast becoming a destination of choice for well-established brands.  We’ve very proud that each of these brands has chosen to open in Woking, as all six will enhance our existing retail and F&B offering.  They add more variety for local residents and visitors alike, and help us continue delivering a unique experience for visitors.”

Victoria Place is the new name for the entire town centre development which includes the existing Woking Shopping retail and restaurant line-up, existing cinemas and theatres, the new internal atrium called Henry Plaza, Hilton Hotel and The Marches residential apartments. 

Henry Plaza, which will become the permanent home to two outstanding new pieces of public art by popular British sculptors David Worthington and Sean Henry, have jointly conceived a new exhibition ‘Forever in the Now’ in partnership with The Lightbox Gallery, which will open to the public on Wednesday 23 March and run throughout this spring.
