Pedestrian thoroughfare closed from Monday 22 October as Woking Town Centre enhancements continue

Date:

Friday, 19 October, 2018

To enable the completion of resurfacing works and enhance accessibility, Church Path will close as a thoroughfare to pedestrians for eight weeks from Monday 22 October 2018.

The closure will be in place between Albion Square and NatWest bank at the southern end of Church Path. Access to businesses located along Church Path will be maintained at all times via Commercial Way.

Once the new granite paving is laid and modifications to widen the pedestrian thoroughfare are complete, Church Path will compliment the existing town entrance enhancements along Commercial Way and the ongoing works to transform Albion Square to a public plaza.

During the works, pedestrians will be directed via Commercial Way and Chapel Street to access High Street and Woking Railway Station.

We would like to thank pedestrians and business owners for their patience and apologise for any inconvenience the works may cause.
