As the Victoria Square development nears completion, it is necessary to close Victoria Way in both directions to vehicles, over two separate weekends, to enable the removal of two tower cranes.
Victoria Way will be closed to traffic from:
- 7am, Friday 28 May to 7am, Monday 31 May
- 7am, Friday 4 June to 5am, Tuesday 8 June
During the closure, Sir Robert McAlpine will be coordinating the removal of two tower cranes from the residential apartment blocks. Over the duration of each weekend, a crane will be dismantled in sections before being towed away on four trailers. It is necessary to close the highway to ensure the safety of the public and workforce.
A signed diversion route will be operation during both weekend.
Please note, good weather conditions are essential for the crane removal. These works may be postponed at short notice and works rearranged during the next available weekend.
