As part of the ongoing works to transform Woking Town Centre, it is necessary to close Church Street East to through traffic over three consecutive weekends beginning the evening of Friday 21 June 2019.
During the works, Farrans Construction will be resurfacing the highway with the striking grey granite block paving already used to great effect in other parts of the town centre.
This will require the closure of Church Street East to through traffic during the following dates:
- 7pm, Friday 21 June to 6am, Monday 24 June
- 7pm, Friday 28 June to 6am, Monday 1 July
- 7pm, Friday 5 July to 6am, Monday 8 July.
Vehicular access to Christchurch Way, Church Path and part of Chobham Road will be restricted during the works. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
To enable works during weekdays, the highway will be reduced to a single carriageway using traffic light controls.
