Woking Borough Council and Mountjoy Ltd have mutually agreed early termination of the responsive repairs, void refurbishments and gas servicing contract for the council’s housing stock.
Both parties are committed to working together to ensure core services continue to be provided to council tenants during the agreed notice period and will work together to mitigate the impact on service levels for tenants.
Both Woking Borough Council and Mountjoy have made a commitment to jointly support the affected staff during the transition to a new service provider.
It has been agreed by both parties that there will be a staged transition of services meaning void works will cease from 1 October 2023, communal heating services and maintenance from 1 November 2023 (subject to the new service provider), domestic gas servicing and maintenance from 5 December 2023 (or sooner if practicable) and general responsive housing repairs from 28 March 2024.
Update: Woking Borough Council have now appointed Smith & Byford Ltd to provide servicing and maintenance to the communal heating systems from 1st November 2023.
